Auditor Rotation
Currently, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) does not require, or suggest, that districts rotate their auditors. According to the Agency’s Financial Accountability System Resource Guide (the authoritative document regarding the state board of education rules through Title 19, Texas Administrative Code, Section 109), audit tenure is addressed only in that prospective auditor should describe staff rotation plans if the engagement is to be for multiple years.
